Adrian Maclin: Co-Artistic Director (MMC)

Adrian Maclin is the director of choirs at Cordova High School and in his second decade of teaching. While at Cordova, his groups have performed at the Southern Division of the American Choral Directors Association conference, the Tennessee Music Educators Association conference, Carnegie Hall, and in numerous halls throughout the country and abroad. His ensembles are widely known for their inspiring, thought provoking, and moving performances.

In addition to Adrian’s work at Cordova, he serves the Memphis-Shelby County School district on the Music Leadership team assisting with novice teacher mentorship, professional development planning and resources for choral music. Adrian also serves on the boards for the West Tennessee Vocal Music Educator Association, Tennessee Music Educators Association and has served on the board for the State Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association.

Maclin has faithfully served his home church of Mount Moriah -East Baptist Church for 20 years as the Minister of Music. In 2020, Adrian was recognized by the Country Music Association Foundation as one of their Music Teachers of Excellence awards and is the 2025 Music Educator Award recipient presented by the Recording Academy and Grammy Museum.

He is product of Memphis City Schools and received his Bachelor of Arts in Music with emphasis in Vocal Performance from Philander Smith University. Maclin has two daughters, Madison and McKenzie, who are the apples of his eye. Maclin is excited to enter his fifth season with Memphis Choral Arts as the new Co- Artistic Director and primary director for the Men’s Chorale.

Mrs. Elicia Garcia Curry is a dedicated music educator and advocate for the arts with nearly two decades of experience empowering youth through music and unifying communities through a shared love for the arts. Through her work as an educator, conductor, and ministry leader, she is passionate about creating meaningful musical experiences that inspire excellence, creativity, and connection.

Elicia currently serves as the Children’s Chorale Director for Memphis Choral Arts, Music Director and Chapel Coordinator at Collegiate School of Memphis, and Minister of Music at First Congregational Church. Under her direction, the Collegiate School of Memphis Music Department consistently receives superior ratings at performance assessment events both within and outside of Tennessee. She previously served as Director of the Choir and Piano Programs at Snowden School for 14 years.

During her tenure with Memphis-Shelby County Schools, Elicia served as a Lead Teacher on the MSCS Fine Arts Leadership Council, where she helped plan and facilitate district-level professional development sessions for music educators. She also served for six years in the Creative and Worship Arts Department at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church as the Children’s Choir Director.

Elicia holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from University of Memphis, with K–12 certification in vocal and general music, and a Master of Music in Music Education from Kent State University. She is an active member of the West Tennessee Vocal Music Educators Association and the National Association for Music Education.

Elicia is originally from Plano, Texas however she considers herself an honorary Memphian. She and her husband, Christopher, are the proud parents of four children: Christopher Elijah, Charles, Elliana, and Collin.

Kinsey Healy: Co-Artistic Director (MWC)

Kinsey Healy is an accomplished choral educator and conductor originally from Arkansas and Texas. She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Choral Music Education from the University of Memphis.

Since 2018, Healy has served as Director of Choirs at Houston High School, where she has built a program recognized for musical excellence, community partnerships, and international performance opportunities. Her students regularly earn placement in regional and national honor choirs.

An active leader in the profession, Healy serves as Secretary of the West Tennessee Vocal Music Educators Association and is a member of American Choral Directors Association and National Association for Music Education. In 2026, she was honored with the Tennessee Music Educators Association Outstanding Young Music Educator Award and was named a CMA Foundation Music Teachers of Excellence recipient, recognizing her among 30 outstanding music educators nationwide.

Elicia Curry: Director of Memphis Children’s Chorale

Jordan Smith: Director of the Memphis Youth Chorale

Jordan is a Memphis native, music educator, conductor, and arts leader dedicated to cultivating excellence and community through choral music education. He currently serves as choir director at Cordova Middle Optional School, where he leads middle school vocal ensembles and the school’s advanced Chamber Choir program.

Jordan earned a master’s degree in music education from the University of Memphis and is a licensed K–12 music educator in Tennessee. His teaching philosophy emphasizes student growth, artistic expression, musical literacy, and meaningful performance experiences that help young singers thrive on and off the stage.

Known for his expressive musicianship and student-centered leadership, Jordan is passionate about expanding access to high-quality arts education and building spaces where students feel seen, challenged, and inspired. His broader professional interests include educational leadership, advocacy, and the intersection of music, identity, and community impact.
